President Donald Trump returned to North Carolina for the first time since he won the presidential election Saturday evening.Trump attended a private fundraiser at the home of Louis Dejoy and his wife Aldona Wos in an Irving Park neighborhood with some of the state's biggest movers and shakers -- members of North Carolina's Congressional delegation, legislative leaders and business leaders.Earlier this week, Guilford County Sheriff B.J. Barnes, who received an invitation to the event, said he expected Trump to likely talk about the deadly shooting in Las Vegas, tax reform and North Korea.The fundraiser was closed to the media.Wos is the former Secretary of Health and Human Services in North Carolina under the McCrory administration. Dejoy is a major contributor to the Republican Party and its candidates, including Trump.This past June, Dejoy donated more than $100,000 to the Trump campaign.In 2006, the same couple welcomed George Bush.For those who were invited to Saturday's fundraiser, the entry fee was $2,700.Barnes said nearly 100 deputies were taking part in the security detail for Trump's visit.Before shutting down Bryan Boulevard in Greensboro ahead of Trump's visit, deputies told protesters that they would not be allowed to stand along side the roadside, waving their signs.Trump's last visit to North Carolina was Dec. 6 when he visited Fayetteville.

The fundraiser was closed to the media.

Wos is the former Secretary of Health and Human Services in North Carolina under the McCrory administration. Dejoy is a major contributor to the Republican Party and its candidates, including Trump.

This past June, Dejoy donated more than $100,000 to the Trump campaign.
