Brussels Edition: Brexit Deal Pending on Phone Call to Macron?

In this week’s episode of The Brussels Edition, we look at Brexit trade talks as negotiations enter extra time. European chief negotiator Michel Barnier sent the pound lower after briefing the deal is doable, but not yet complete in time for this week. For Mujtaba Rahman, managing director for Europe at Euroasia group, his somber tone makes sense but isn’t a determining factor. A phone call between Emmanuel Macron and Boris Johnson may be what’s needed to seal a deal. He speaks in an interview with Bloomberg’s Maria Tadeo and Anna Edwards.
