U.S. Cases Down 15%; Pandemic Drives Retirements: Virus Update

Pfizer Inc. said the Covid-19 shot it’s developed with BioNTech SE was 90.7% effective against symptomatic cases in kids ages 5 to 11. The seven-day moving average of new cases has dropped 15% in the past week.

In Europe, Germany recorded its steepest one-day increase in new coronavirus cases in more than five months. Meanwhile, a majority of Swiss are seen backing a law allowing the government to issue Covid-19 certificates for entry into theaters and restaurants ahead of a national vote.
