The ongoing chip crisis has fractured relationships between automakers and top-tier suppliers that failed to secure semiconductors for their customers, according to the head of the world’s fourth-largest automaker.

Carmakers still have only a hazy view of chip supplies for the coming two years, and that’s pushing them to look elsewhere to solve supply-chain headaches, Stellantis NV Chief Executive Officer Carlos Tavares said Tuesday.
