Ukraine Latest: US Senate Nears Passing $40 Billion Aid Package

The US Senate overwhelmingly voted to move toward passage of a $40 billion package of military and humanitarian assistance for Ukraine, bringing the legislation closer to approval in Congress in the next few days.
Ukraine said 53 severely wounded fighters were evacuated from the Azovstal steel plant in the port city of Mariupol, the first evacuation of military personnel from the complex after a United Nations-led effort to get civilians out earlier this month.
