Supreme Court’s Gun Ruling Rattles New York Following Spike in Shootings

In Thursday’s ruling in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen, the court struck down a law that allowed local officials to restrict concealed-carry permits to those who could demonstrate a need for protection beyond the average citizen’s. Henceforth, it will be far easier to qualify for permits, and similar laws in California, New Jersey and Massachusetts and four other states will also be voided by the ruling.
