As fans anxiously awaited the release of the season finale of the Netflix thriller “Stranger Things,” the network went down for a brief period on Friday as a vast number of users logged on to stream new episodes, overwhelming the service.
More than 14,000 outages were reported across the global monitoring service Downdetector at the stroke of midnight, Pacific Time.
Netflix declined to comment on the issue, but the issue appears to be resolved.
