Goldman Lifts Forecasts for Fed Hikes in September and November

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. have lifted their forecast for the pace of interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.

The US lender now expects the Fed to hike by 75 basis points this month and 50 basis points in November, up from their previous forecasts of 50 basis points and 25 basis points respectively, economists led by Jan Hatzius said in a research note. They are tipping a 25 basis points move in December.
