London’s Heathrow Airport has been told to cut airline charges by around 20% per passenger next year after the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority said that higher prices were not justified amid a rebound in the number of travelers.

Charges for airlines using the hub in 2023 will remain fixed at £31.57 ($37.35) per passenger, and then drop to £25.43 in 2024, the CAA said in a statement Wednesday. Prices will remain broadly flat at that level until the end of 2026, giving an average maximum fee of £27.49, according to the regulator.
